Battery Removal VS800/VS1400

Cruiser

The battery is located just in front of the rear wheel.

Disconnect the negative wire,

Then remove the positive terminal cover & Disconnect the positive wire.

If you look underneath the bike you'll see that there is a trap door that the battery sits on.
Remove the two screws that hold the door up.
You will have to take the battery out on a slight slant to clear the floor.

When replacing the battery hook up the wires positive first then negative.

If you wish more clearance to aid removal, park bike so the back wheel is
raised slightly to give enough clearance and have
something to place under the kickstand too
